SCHOOL OVERVIEW
HISTORY
Established in 1991 as ‘Prem Vadi’ a charitable Bengali medium school by the Bajoria Charitable Trust, the school aimed to provide education to the under privileged children of Sanjua 24 Parganas South .The community was largely uneducated and extremely impoverished, and the parents failed to comprehend the importance of education. With some effort, a few local volunteers were selected to visit surrounding homes and mobilize the community. The draw was the promise of a hot meal and free education. The children received books, new clothes during Durga Puja and warm clothes during winter. Besides academics the children were given Physical Training, Yoga classes and were also exposed to the Arts.
Over the next two decades as the village grew to understand the importance of good education, The S.L BAJORIA FOUNDATION HIGH SCHOOLwas established. The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination and has provided the children with equal opportunity to succeed.
The ethos of the S.L Bajoria Foundation remains inclusive of community and the village in general. This commitment to the community is borne proudly by the entire student body in equal measure. There is great emphasis on community service, environmental issues, sanitation, hygiene and sports.

S L Bajoria Foundation High School tends to the fostering of young minds into truly global citizens by providing English medium education at an affordable cost for the children of the society, in a nurturing and compassionate atmosphere. The ethos permeates through the students and teachers, creating a lively and spirited learning environment.
Vision
S L Bajoria Foundation High School strongly believes in upliftment of the needy through developing the Leadership skills. The school also stresses on equality, and the need for mutual respect which is instilled from the early ages using various techniques, including incorporating the arts into the curriculum. Our aim is to cultivate an environment where each student is encouraged to reach his or her full academic and creative potential. We instil in our pupils, a strong sense of justice, equality, and public morality, all the while instilling in them, a connection to their cultural roots and heritage. They are taught to nurture a compassionate spirit of empathy for the less fortunate.
